Produced for Rematch, ‘LockerRoom’ transports fans to re-live the Rumble in the Jungle pre-fight memories through the creation of an imagined environment, archive imagery, audio and interactive boxing drills.
You will enter the most sacred space in all of sports, the locker room. LockerRoom invites you to become Muhammad Ali moments before the biggest fight of his life. as Ali and his cornerman run drills. Ali is considered to be past his glorious best. Few boxing experts back him against fearsome Foreman, the odds-on favourite and hard-punching Champion with 37 devastating knockouts in his unbeaten 40 fight career. Some say Foreman is unbeatable. Ali says he has a ‘Plan’. Will Foreman topple ‘The Greatest’? Or has Ali got him Rumbled..?
Rematch, the sporting time machine that reimagines iconic sporting moments through unique immersive theatrical events, commissioned Electric Skies to produce a knockout new product as it broadens into the immersive world of Web3, proving their hybrid media capability, ahead of transporting fans back to 1974 with its ‘Rumble in the Jungle Rematch’ shows at Dock X, London opening Thursday 14th September.
LockerRoom will be available in over 150 VR headsets, via a network of libraries and cultural venues such as BFI film hubs across the UK. A partnership with StoryFutures is helping to democratise the accessibility of VR experiences while offering fans the chance to virtually step into one of sport’s greatest ever moments.

See authentic archive material and interact with digital twins of original memorabilia, including the infamous ‘split glove’ worn by Ali versus UK heavyweight champion Henry Cooper.
